San Jacinto MonumentThis 1939 art deco style monument commemorates the Battle of San Jacinto 1836, which was a turning point in the Texas Revolution. Located just outside Houston, the imposing tower and star stand as a proud memorial to those who fought for Texas independence. Sam Houston StatueStanding at 40-feet tall, this bronze equestrian figure of Sam Houston is one of the most prominent features of Hermann Park. It was sculpted by Enrico Filiberto Cerracchio in 1925. Constructed of thick cast-iron, this victorian-style clock was originally located on Main Street in front of the Sweeney Jewelry store.
