About Rights-Managed Licensing
Rights-Managed photos are high-quality images that are licensed for a specific use. The value of a stock photo license depends on how the photo will be used. Because of the specific nature of managed licensing, prices are quoted on a per project and per photo basis. Typical industry-standard factors taken into consideration are:
Usage
How will the image be displayed? (ex. editorial publication, billboard, brochure)
Duration
What is the maximum length of time the image will be displayed? (ex. 1 week, 3 months)
Circulation
How many times will the image be printed or displayed? (ex. up to 20,000, 1million+)
Image Size
How large will the image appear? (ex. 1/4 page, Half Page, 300x200 web banner)
Industry
What industry type will the image be used to promote? (ex. Manufacturing)
Geographic Distribution
Where will the photo appear? (ex. Oklahoma City, USA, Europe, Worldwide)
Special Requirements
Such as exclusivity license or rush service.
Discounts
In addition to our industry standard pricing practices, we also discount stock photo licenses (at our discretion) for the following reasons:
- Large Orders - Licensing several photos at one time or being a consistent repeat buyer.
- Multiple Placements - Licensing an image to be used in multiple forms of media.
- Minor Element - Image will appear as a minor design element or as part of a collage.

Maximum Value
With this type of managed licensing model, the licensee only pays for the usage that they need. Ergo the negotiated price provides maximum value to the buyer. Depending on the usage, this can prevent the licensee from overpaying for a generalized license such as the RF model.
Image History
Another advantage of managed licensing is that an accompanying usage history is retained for each photo. We can provide the licensee with a usage history to ensure that none of their competitors are using the same image.
Exclusivity Options
Another perk to this type of licensing is the option of exclusiveness. For an additional fee, you can retain exclusive usage of an image for a pre-determined period of time.
We do not offer Royalty Free (RF) licensing.
Stock Photo Image Specifications
File Sizes
Our photos are created in digital 35mm equivalent and are available in native sizes up to 12" x 18" (3600 x 5400 pixels) at 300 dpi. However, the high quality of our images allows us to digitally interpolate beyond that to much larger sizes with good rendering of detail. We achieve this by using state-of-the-art digital photography software. Our images are suitable for everything from brochures to billboards.
File Formats
Our stock photo images are available as Tiff or Jpeg format. Our all digital workflow insures that we are able to provide you with the highest quality digital image files available. Our files are not scanned from film, so there is no image degradation or generation loss.
